I am deeply disappointed with the care my child received at this surgery center. The staff showed a complete lack of understanding and empathy. When they took my child away for anesthesia, they moved slowly and insisted on trying to get my child to wave goodbye, despite already being upset, which only made things worse. I could hear their cries growing louder and more desperate from the waiting area. Once the procedure was quickly finished, I could clearly hear my child screaming, and I had to stand up and demand to see them. When I was finally allowed to retrieve my child, the paperwork was not completed in a timely manner. The nurse insisted we stay until all the paperwork was finished, while my toddler sobbed and begged to go home, despite both parents being present. It wasn’t until another staff member intervened that I was allowed to bring my child to the car. This experience was incredibly upsetting, and I do not feel my child's well-being was prioritized. If I ever have to bring my child here again, I will make sure to be a strong advocate for them to prevent this level of distress.
